Machinal series
In the Machinal series (Amsterdam, Paris, 1963–1967), Flór depicts the interiors of radios, lamps, and other machines that fascinated him. This new focus marks a clear departure from his post-CoBrA period and organic series, which featured more gestural and direct movements. He cancels the exhibition of his organic series in Venice to devote himself entirely to this work.
During his scholarship in Paris (1966-1972) Flór explores a wide range of techniques and formats from small to extremely large depictions of machines. The series is concluded with illusory images of the water pump by Boyle, Appollo 9, a Lamp in homage of Edison en Swan, other in homage of Volta and Anderson, etc.
