In the early 1960s Flór researches the painting style and free usage of materials of the post-expressionists and CoBrA. He interacts with other artists as J. Sierhuis, P. Van Soest en Rudi Bierman. Instead of the visual observation he focuses on the depiction of the psychic engagement in actual events, exploring themes such as street wandering, cafés and dancing, bombardings and war executions. He uses oil painting and linoleum. Themes are inspired by his experiences and his help of the Hungarian refugees from the 1956-58 revolutions prior, two years during which he stopped painting.
Simultaneously he begins his Organic series. Landscape events are depicted such as the movement of clouds, growing of plants and a train under the clouds.
